Daycare provides short-term daytime care for pets, giving owners peace of mind while their pets are supervised at your facility. Once Daycare has been enabled in your settings and you have chosen which mode (Standard or Services), you can create and manage bookings directly through the admin system.
This guide explains the process step by step, helping you create daycare bookings quickly and accurately.

To add a Daycare booking from the admin area, navigate to the customers or pets profile and select Add Daycare form the add booking button
You can also add bookings by going to the top left menus and selecting, Bookings > Add Bookings, then Add Daycare Booking option.
Daycare Booking Form fields
Customer – Select the customer for whom you are making the booking.
- You can also create a new customer by clicking the blue plus icon.
- If the booking is made from the customer’s profile, this field will automatically populate with that customer.
Location – When using the Multi-Site plan, select the location where the service will be held.
Date Type
Note: The form will adjust its available fields based on the Date Type selected. |
Specific Date(s)
Enables the option to create individual bookings for one or more specific dates.
Dates (will appear when the above is selected) - Use the date picker to select the service dates. You may choose a single date or multiple dates as required.
Date Range
This option allows you to select recurring days within a defined date range. For example, you can configure bookings for every Tuesday and Thursday over the course of the next month.
Days - This field defines when the bookings will occur. Use the day picker to select the required days. Multiple days can be grouped together under one booking
Start - Select the date on which the booking period should begin.
End - Select the date on which the booking period should end.
Today
The system automatically selects today’s date, displays times for the entire day, and checks the pet in by default as the Checkin box is pre‑ticked. This setup is ideal for managing walk‑in bookings efficiently
For the above options, the below Checkboxes are also available.
Ignore Validation - Enables you to ignore any opening hours, blocked dates and minimum night requirements set up in your system. You would do this if you have a specific booking you wish to override these rules for. This functionality is not available in the customer portal.
Unconfirmed checkbox - If selected the bookings will be entered into the system as unconfirmed. By default bookings added from the admin system are marked as confirmed. This functionality is not available in the customer portal.
Note: If a Deposit Requirement Setup has the "Set Unconfirmed" option enabled, then the checkbox will be ticked by default when adding a booking. |

Checkin / Checkout Times and Session Time.
Depending on your system configuration, you will either be prompted to enter Checkin / Checkout Times or select a Session Time.
Checkin / Checkout Times - By default, these times are displayed according to your system’s Booking Settings (for more information view HERE) You can adjust them as needed using the time picker.
Session Time - If session times are enabled, the system will display these options instead of Check‑In / Check‑Out Times, depending on your configuration

When multiple dates are selected, they will be displayed in a list for easy review.
Selecting the checkbox next to a date will open additional Checkin / Checkout options, which can then be applied to each individual date selected.
Dates can be removed from the selection by clicking the bin icon located to the right of each entry.
Area and Place Type
Area – This field will automatically default to the service you are booking.
Place Type – Depending on your systems configurations, select the Place Type (item) required for the booking from the dropdown menu.
- Daycare Items can be created in “Areas & Pens” in the Settings menu.
Pets – Select the pet(s) that will be attending the service.
- You can also create a new pet by clicking the
button.
If you wish to add additional Places within the same category, to the booking, you can click the button at the bottom of the panel.
Additional Fields
Notes - Use this field to add any additional information or booking details that may be required.
Personal Items - Use this field to add any additional information about personal items that the owner/pet may bring along to the service.
Calculate Distance – This feature displays the distance between the pet owner’s residence and your business. It provides a quick reference for assessing the distance involved in any taxi services are selected.
Transport Service
Once enabled, Transport Services will appear as an option directly within your booking form. To get started, simply click the button.
The choices available in your "Extras" dropdown will automatically reflect the specific Transport Services (Taxis or Buses) you’ve configured in your settings. Please note that Taxis and Buses have different requirements, such as specific routes or applied times, to ensure the booking is complete.

Bus Route Timing - Route end time (for checkin) and route start time (for checkout) need to be within 3 hours either side of the checkin/checkout time.
If a bus route is unavailable for that day, or if the times entered are outside the required time range, the system will prevent the selection. In these cases, you will see a clear warning message directly in the booking form: This ensures that your drivers aren't assigned pickups or drop-offs that fall too far outside their active route times.
Extras
Extras can be added while creating a booking, by clicking the button, or later by selecting the blue Add Extra button in the Extras tab once the booking has been created.
This will allow you to choose extras to apply from your pre-set list. It will automatically add the price to the Booking based on the rules for that particular extra and how many times it has been selected to apply. Extras are setup in settings > customization > extras & extra types.
Booking Details
A summary of the booking details, including pricing, extras and invoice line items, appears on the right side of the screen when using a desktop device, or below the booking form on mobile devices. This section also displays the customer’s most recent previous booking and all pets they own for reference.
Extras - Shows which Extras have been chosen, along with their costs, to be added to the booking.
Invoice Total - Confirms the total cost of the booking and provides the option to allocate tokens. The required amount, along with the customer’s available tokens, is displayed beneath the Use tokens field.
Add Package - Enables you to assign the booking to a pre‑purchased package.
Once the booking form has been completed and the details reviewed, click to proceed.
You will then be directed to the Booking Overview page, under the Invoices / Quotes tab, where you can create an invoice or quote, and apply any necessary adjustments depending on your business procedures.
