Bookings contains various switches related to bookings including:
Access Bookings
To access Business Details go to the Settings > General and then Bookings from the left hand column.
There are a number of sections on this page.
General
This section includes all general booking information and allows you to edit which features are available to you and your customers.
- Booking Changeover Warning - This will show a warning on a booking when there is another booking coming in, e,g. If one pet is leaving and another is coming into the same pen.

Booking Pet Overlap Warning - This will show a warning if a pet has overlapping bookings.
- This would be relevant where you have a booking of the same type that already exists.
- However it might be the case that the customer has a grooming booking and are then coming in for a boarding booking as well in which case the warning can be ignored.
- Booking Auto Select Pets - When on the booking forms it will automatically insert the pet names into the form, turning this feature off means it won't auto select. It will automatically insert as many pets as possible from that customer of the correct animal type to fill the capacity of the selected pen.
- Booking Force Dates - Prevents checkins and checkouts outside of booking dates. You must check all bookings in and out on there assigned dates. Be careful turning this feature on.

Booking Update Times - If you have this turned on it will automatically update the time to the current time when you click checkin or checkout. This setting is off by default.
- Useful when you want the system to be exact on what time people are checking in or out, having this feature on will update the time on the booking accordingly - e.g. for daycare.
- Keep in mind that it will create an extra line item in your invoice if the invoice wording or pricing has changed.

Booking Update Times Ignore Validation - Ignores opening hours validation when automatically updating times using above setting.
- If utilising Booking Update Times it will ignore opening hours to allow out of hours checkins/outs e.g., If someone checks out at 6:05PM, it will allow the time to update to 6:05PM even if it was outside of opening hours.

Booking Allow Overlaps Checkout - allows an overlap on that check out day. e.g., If one pet is leaving at 10AM, another can be checked in at 9AM into the same pen.
- This feature is highly utilised as it allows for you to take more bookings.
- Useful if you have a holding area for pets about to be checked out.
- Booking Checkins Unconfirmed - This feature shows unconfirmed bookings on the Checkins report. Normally bookings are not shown on these reports if they are unconfirmed.

Booking Quick Checkin - Completely skips confirmation page which checks for things like how the payments have been made, whether vaccinations are up to date, pet images, notes, etc...
- This is commonly used by groomers, daycares, and places where this information is checked during checkout and the checkin process needs to be quick.

Booking Require Terms Checkin - On the checkin screen, if the customer hasn't signed the Terms and Conditions form, then the checkin button will be disabled and you won't be able to check them in.
- Usually people with this feature on will utilize a tablet/iPad on site and get customers to sign the Terms and Conditions on the device, then the pet(s) can be checked in.
- Booking Require Size - With this feature on, each pet will require a size in order for a booking to be made.
- Booking Notes Checked Out - Includes checked out bookings in the Booking Notes report. This includes things like diet and medical reports, which normally shows only the pets in house. With this feature turned on, pets that have already been checked out will also be shown
Packages
This section is for people who offer packages or tokens for their customers, and allows you to edit how the tokens will round.

Package Token Rounding - This feature is for fractional token amounts. If you were using packages and had for example a token value for half day of 0.5, this feature has options that determine how your tokens will round. The options include:
- No rounding (default option)
- Round Up
- Round Down
- Round Nearest
Boarding & Daycare
This section allows you to edit the information displayed regarding your Boarding & Daycare checkins and checkouts.

Boarding AM and PM - This feature allows you to simply use AM/PM on booking forms instead of having a specific time selector.
- This feature is for boarding, for daycare we recommend utilising our 'Daycare Session Times' instead as it uses the specific time selector and allows for simple half day selections.

Boarding Checkin Default and Boarding Checkout Default - Ensure these times are within your opening hours, so that when people make a default booking it will allow the booking.
- If you've set the setting to AM/PM, it will display AM/PM. There is still these time associated with the booking behind the scenes.

Boarding Buffer - This option allows you to allocate time between bookings for cleaning, preparation and other tasks to prepare for the next booking.
- E.g., if one pet was leaving at 9AM, and you want a boarding buffer of 120 minutes, the next pet won't be able to checkin until 11AM.
- This is in contrast to the boarding allow overlap setting which should be turned off to all for the buffer.

Boarding Private Default - With this setting on, all shared pens will be made private by default.
- With this setting off, shared pens will remain shared unless the private checkbox is ticked.

Maximum Pets - Maximum number of daycare/boarding pets per day.
- Because pens in Pet Manager are not shared across boarding and daycare, sometimes businesses want to have a cap on the total number of pets they can handle at one time.
- This is typically for smaller facilities, who are providing some daycare and some boarding in the same area.
- With this feature, the system will not allow any more pets for a particular day once the maximum number has been reached.
- Maximum Pets Checkout - This option is off by default, meaning that it won't include pets that are checking out that day in the maximum number of pets per day. Turning this option on will count them.

Maximum Pets Admin - This feature has two settings available:
- Portal Only - it will only effect the portal.
- Portal/Admin - it will effect both the admin and the portal and it will block bookings in both systems once it reaches the cap on maximum pets.
- Maximum Pens - Maximum number of daycare/boarding pens per day. Once the number is reached in a combination of daycare and boarding pens being filled, it will prevent further bookings.
- Maximum Pens Checkout - This option is off by default, meaning that it won't include pens that are checking out that day in the maximum number of pens per day. Turning this option on will count them.

- Portal Only - it will only effect the portal.
- Portal/Admin - it will effect both the admin and the portal and it will block bookings in both systems once it reaches the cap on maximum pens.
In Home
This section is for people running In Home services e.g., offering to go to peoples premises to look after their animals, feed them, etc...
- In Home Checkin Default and In Home Checkout Default - Ensure these times are within your opening hours (if used), so that when people make a default booking it will have the correct times displayed.
Services
This section allows you to edit the time intervals in which your services are provided.

Training Time Interval - Interval to generate availability for private training services. This feature allows you to choose from 10 minutes up to an hour.
- E.g., if you said you're available from 9AM-12PM, and it was in 30 minute intervals, the commencement times available would be 9, 9:30, 10, 10:30, etc...
- Grooming Time Interval - Interval to generate availability for private grooming services.
- Walking Time Interval - Interval to generate availability for walking services.
- Dog Park Time Interval - Interval to generate availability for dog park time.
- Hydrotherapy Time Interval - Interval to generate availability for hydrotherapy if your business offers it.
