Journal Types let you record notes against both Bookings and Pets.
Use Journals to add date‑ and time‑stamped details — for example, Incident Reports or Training/Grooming results for a pet.
All Journal entries are saved to the associated Booking and Pet records and can be accessed from the Journal tab on Bookings, Pet Profiles, and Customer Profiles

Adding a Journal to a Pet Profile
On the Pet Profile screen, you can view all existing Journal entries for the selected pet.
Journals can also be accessed from the Journal tab, where you can create new entries, view all existing entries, and sort them as needed.
The list of entries can be filtered by Area Type
and Journal Type
You can edit or delete.
To add a new Journal click the button on the right.
The Pet is pre-selected to the current pet. You can select the booking that this Journal entry applies to or leave blank. Enter the note you wish to record, Select the Journal Type and select the date and time for the entry. Then Save.
Adding a Journal to a Booking
Within a Booking you can add new and view Journal entries under the Journal Tab.
You can filter the Journal entries shown by selecting the Journal Type.
You can also edit or delete Journal entries.
Clicking Edit will allow you to change the details of an existing Journal entry.
To add a new Journal click the button on the right.
Adding a Journal entry to the Booking will have the booking pre-selected. Any pet in this booking can be selected.
Adding a Journal to a Customer Profile
On the Customer Overview screen, you can view all Journal entries for every pet owned by the customer.
From the Journal tab you can edit or delete existing entries. You can also filter entries by Journal Type or Pet to quickly find the information you need. You can not add a new Journal from here.
Viewing a Journal on Checkout
When checking out a pet, you can view their Journal entries to review notes such as incidents, training progress, or grooming outcomes before completing the visit.
From the Checkout screen select the option to the right of the Pets entry. (Not the quick Checkout option located at the top).
When the Checkout Information form for the booking opens, any related Journal entries will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.
