Pet Manager includes a Staff Roster feature that allows you to configure each team member’s working hours, availability, and service eligibility. These settings determine how staff appear in the calendar and which bookings they can be assigned to, ensuring accurate scheduling and service coverage.

To manage the Staff Roster go to the head icon along the top right navigations bar.
Roster Overview
You can switch between two views in the Staff Roster — Working and Default — depending on how you prefer to see the working day.
Working - Start time will be determined by your Scheduler Working Start & End Time configured in General > Scheduler & Calendar Settings - for example 7am to 6.30pm.
Default - Times will be set to 24hours - 00.00 to 23.30
You can change the view to see bookings by Month, Week, or Day, allowing you to focus on the level of detail that matters most for your current task.
To switch between these views, use the period selector at the top left of the Roster.
Week
Month
You’ll see available staff listed on the left, with the services they’re able to cover clearly displayed for easy assignment.
Services can be assigned to staff by going to Settings > Account > Staff. See More Information section below.
The blue blocks on the roster indicate staff availability. Each time slot corresponds to a service they’re available to cover.
In Day view, staff start and end times are displayed directly on each time block. In Week and Month views, you’ll need to hover over a block to see a pop-up showing the staff member’s name, service area, and their start and end time.
The number of hours assigned to each time slot is displayed on the left side of the block.
If a staff members time has been allocated to a Grooming Window or a specific Service Session these time blocks will be highlighted with colour codes, indicated by the Legend.
To open the Legend select the button top left.

Standard bookings assigned to a staff member will appear in green, along the booking line beneath their scheduled time blocks.
Customer Bookings
Each booking block will have the service symbol and customers name on for quick reference. To view the information in more detail, hover over the entry. An information pop-up will appear, providing an expanded overview that includes the customer alerts, associated tags, customer names, and payment information.
To view or edit a booking in full detail, click on the selected entry. This will take you directly to the original booking record.
Adding Staff Times
To add allocated time slots for staff go to the button top right. This opens an editable view.
To add time blocks, click the available squares or drag your mouse across multiple to select them.
To remove time blocks, click on the green blocks or drag across several to remove them in bulk.
Pink slots indicate existing bookings and cannot be edited.
Once allocated the time slots press
The dropdown arrow adjacent to the Edit Roster button provides access to extended roster management actions.
Copy Week - Allows you to copy the current week's setup across a selected date range and for specific staff members and/or all.
Copy Day - Allows you to copy the current day's setup across a selected date range and for specific staff members and/or all.
Change Working Hours - Opens the settings where you can adjust the working hours displayed on the roster.
Manage Staff - Opens the settings where you can manage staff profiles and assign service areas to each team member.
Staff Roster Templates - Opens the settings where you can set up and manage staff roster templates.
Adding a Booking
To add a standard booking select the relevant white block under the staff member to whom you wish to allocate the booking, using the line labelled booking.
If the selected staff member is available for multiple service types during the chosen time slot, a list of options will appear. You can then select the required booking area from this list to proceed.
The booking form will open for you to select the customer and pet. The form will be prepopulated with the relevant Booking Area, Staff member, Date, and Time (may have additional times available). If multiple services are available, they will appear in a dropdown menu for selection.
Once the booking form is completed, proceed with the booking as per your usual workflow. Confirm the details and follow the standard steps to finalise the booking.
Adding a booking to a session time slot,
Navigate to the desired date in the Roster. Locate the staff member assigned to the session, then click the session block to proceed.
If its a Groom booking the Grooming Service Window will open.
If its a session booking for example - Training or Walking, the Session Overview will open.
For both options, navigate to the bookings tab.
Selecting the button will open the bookings form for you to proceed as per your usual workflow. Confirm the details and follow the standard steps to finalise the booking.
