Pet Manager provides a wide range of features and services, not all of which may be required by every user. To streamline your system, these features can be enabled or disabled, allowing you to create a more focused setup tailored to your specific needs

To manage your Customization figuration go to Settings > Customization
Then navigate to Customization from the left side menu.
Use these settings to enable or disable features globally. Changes apply across the system, including both the admin area and the customer portal (if in use).
Customers
Customer Code - When enabled, this setting adds a field to the customer creation form, allowing you to manually enter a unique customer code alongside the system-generated one.
Visible on the customers profile.
Customer Require Email - When enabled, the system requires an email address for all newly created customers. This setting is recommended because the system checks whether the email address has already been used.
- It prevents duplicate records from being created.
- It helps distinguish customers who share the same first and last names.
- If integrated with Xero, the email address is used to create unique records, avoiding duplication.
Customer Require Vet - When enabled, the system requires that a vet is assigned to the customer’s profile whenever a new customer is added.
Features
Extras Enable - When enabled, you will be able to add Extras to bookings.
Transport Enable - When enabled allows Taxi and Bus services to be added through Extras and booking forms.
Packages Enable - When enabled, the Packages feature becomes available and a dedicated tab will be visible on the customers profile.
Vouchers Enable - When enabled, the Vouchers feature becomes available and a dedicated tab will be visible on the customers profile.
Deposits Enable - When enabled, the system allows you to set up and apply deposits to customer bookings.
Weights Enable - When enabled, the Weights feature becomes available and a dedicated tab will be visible on the pets profile.
Journal Enable - When enabled, the Journal feature becomes available and a dedicated tab will be visible on the customers profile, pets profile and bookings.
Postcards Enable - When enabled, the Postcard feature becomes available and a dedicated tab will be visible on the Bookings
Reviews Enable - When enabled, you can request customer reviews through the customer portal or via links included in emails.
Rounds Enable - Enabling this option activates the Health Check Rounds feature. A dedicated tab will be visible on the pet’s profile and bookings, and the corresponding dashboard and reports will become available.
Booking Sheet Enable - When enabled you will be able to customize and print off the Booking/Pen sheets from the check in / out screens and from bookings.
Checkin Sheet Enable - When enabled you will be able to customize and print off the Checkin Sheets from the Checkin screen.
Daycare Pet Leads Enable - (Daycare Only) When enabled, this allows you to assign specific leads to pets. You can define the type of lead required, owner‑provided, facility‑provided, or numbered leads based on your business preferences. The options will be available when checkingin and out pets.
E-Label Enable - When enabled, this setting allows you to download a report containing booking and pen details for generating digital labels. For further information, contact Pet Manager Support.
Notifications
Notifications Auto Delete - When enabled, call-to-action notifications will automatically delete once clicked and directed to the required action, saving you from manually clearing them. Information-only notifications are not affected and must still be deleted manually. If this setting is not enabled, all notifications will remain marked as read and must be deleted manually

Customer Portal
Portal Enable - When enabled, this setting activates the Customer Portal, providing customers with access to make bookings online.
Services
Training Sessions Enable - When enabled, this feature allows you to create and book group Training sessions, at predefined time slots.
Training Courses Enable - When enabled, this feature allows you to create and book Training courses.
Training Custom Enable - When enabled, this feature allows you to create and book private Training sessions, at customer-selected times within a defined time frame.
Walking Sessions Enable - When enabled, this feature allows you to create and book group Walking sessions, at predefined time slots.
Walking Custom Enable - When enabled, this feature allows you to create and book private Walking sessions, at customer-selected times within a defined time frame.
Dog Park Sessions Enable - When enabled, this feature allows you to create and book group Dog Park sessions, at predefined time slots.
Dog Park Custom Enable - When enabled, this feature allows you to create and book private Dog Park sessions at customer-selected times within a defined time frame.
Hydrotherapy Sessions Enable - When enabled, this feature allows you to create and book group Hydrotherapy sessions, at predefined time slots.
Hydrotherapy Custom Enable - When enabled, this feature allows you to create and book private Hydrotherapy sessions, at customer-selected times within a defined time frame.
Daycare Mode - Enables you to toggle between either the Standard Daycare modules and booking process or create specific Daycare Services.
| IMPORTANT: For Existing Customers Implementing Daycare Services requires assistance from the Pet Manager team. Switching to this mode will replace your current daycare setup. You must contact us if you’d like to explore if this is the right move for your business. |
When switching between the two features, a message box will appear to alert you of any upcoming daycare bookings or active repeating daycare bookings. These bookings are not compatible with the new process and will need to be reviewed before continuing.
Before making the switch, we recommend that your new Daycare Services are fully configured and to temporarily disable daycare booking access in the customer portal during the transition.
Grooming Service Mode - When enabled, this feature allows grooming sessions to be created and booked using time windows rather than fixed appointment slots.
