Tracking the demand for your pet business is essential for maximizing your facility's capacity. This report monitors how your physical spaces and pens are being utilized over time, helping you identify your most popular accommodation types, manage pet rotations, and plan for upcoming peak boarding seasons.
The Item Usage Report provides an exact breakdown of pen allocations across your business. By selecting a custom date range, you can instantly see which enclosures are high in demand and track total occupancy, allowing you to manage your booking availability.
To access the Item Usage Report, go to Reports > Bookings > Item Usage.
Using the date pickers, select the date range you wish to view.
If you’re using one of the multi‑location plans, you can view Item Usage results by Location.
Select the Filter icon in the top‑right corner to display the dropdown menu, where you can choose the specific location you want to view. You will also have the option to display all sites combined if you prefer an overall occupancy overview.
Include Checkout - When enabled, this will include pets that are checking out on each day, adding them into the daily totals.
Depending on your preferences, you can view the data either as numeric totals or as percentages by using the toggle.
The Area Chart provides an overview of your totals across the selected date range. The information displayed will adjust according to the filter options you have chosen above, giving you a clear snapshot of occupancy for each Item Type. To make it easy to understand at a glance, each category is colour‑coded.
Below the Area Chart, you’ll find a data table displaying the totals broken down by Item Type. Each row represents a date within your chosen range, with the overall daily totals shown on the far right for quick reference.
At the foot of the data table, you will see the overall totals for the selected date range, broken down by each Item Type. This gives you a complete summary of occupancy across the entire period you are viewing.
You can find the overall total in the bottom right corner of the daily totals row.
You can also export the displayed data in different formats at any time for reporting or backup purposes:
Print – Generates a printer-friendly version of the current data for easy hard-copy reference or record-keeping.
Excel – Exports the data to a Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) file, ideal for sorting, filtering, and advanced data manipulation.
CSV – Downloads the data as a Comma-Separated Values (.csv) file, useful for importing into other software or databases.
