The In‑House Journals page allows you to view any journals that have been logged for a pet while they are with you. This gives you a clear record of the pet’s behaviour, wellbeing, and progress throughout their stay, whether they are with you for a single day or over multiple days.
Being able to access these entries in one place makes it easy to track how the pet is settling in, note any changes or concerns, and review the activities or interactions recorded by different staff members. This helps ensure consistent care, smooth handovers between team members, and a complete picture of the pet’s experience during their time with you.
To view the In House Journals page from Bookings navigate to Transport & Notes > In House Journals
The blue text on this page is clickable and will take you directly to the corresponding information. E.g.. Booking reference will take you to the Booking, Customers name will take you to the customers profile.
From this page, you can quickly view all key details at a glance, including:
- Notes - journal entries
- Booking Reference & Area Type
- Customer - name, reference and type
- Pet’s Name
- Date & Time - of journal entry
- Journal Type
- User - who added the journal
From each entry, you can:
- Edit the Journal
- Delete the Journal
The Search bar lets you quickly look up a pet.
To help you search efficiently use information like:
- Booking Ref
- Customers Name
- Pets Name
Click the Filter icon in the top right corner to open the filtering menus, where you can narrow your search using specific criteria.
Select Animal Type - Enables you to filter by Pet Type.
Select Location - Enables you to filter by location when using the multi location plans.
Select Area - Enables you to filter by Area Type such as Daycare, Boarding or Grooming.
Select Type - Enables you to filter by the different Journal Types.
You can also add a new booking by selecting the button top right.
If you want to show more or fewer entries on the page, use the Show Entries dropdown in the top‑right corner.
The system defaults to showing 10 entries to help reduce server load, but you can increase this up to 5,000 entries if needed.
You can also export the displayed data in different formats at any time for reporting or backup purposes:
Excel – Exports the data to a Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) file, ideal for sorting, filtering, and advanced data manipulation.
CSV – Downloads the data as a Comma-Separated Values (.csv) file, useful for importing into other software or databases.
Print – Generates a printer-friendly version of the current data for easy hard-copy reference or record-keeping.
Just a heads-up when you're ready to print or export: the system will only include the entries currently visible on your screen.
To ensure you get your full list, please remember to adjust the "Show Entries" dropdown to reflect the total number of records you need before clicking export.
