Example of In-App Notifications...
We offer various types of notifications, which can be configured per Role. You can also configure specific users to only receive notifications related to a chosen location (multi-location accounts only).
Configuring Notifications
To manage the enabled notifications, open the Settings menu in the top navigation and click the Account link.
Then click Roles in the left side menu.
Here, you will see a Notifications column displaying the number of enabled notifications for each role.
You can adjust which notifications are enabled for each role by clicking the drop-down arrow on the Edit button and clicking the Notifications action.
You will then be presented with a list of the notifications, including checkboxes to enable each of the Email, SMS and App notification types.
User Notifications
Notifications will be delivered to each of the users with the chosen role. Email notifications will be delivered to the email address associated with the user, and App notifications will be displayed for that user directly in the software.
To receive SMS notifications, you must set a mobile phone number when editing the user (and have available credits).
If you are using the Multi-Site or Enterprise Editions, you can also restrict notifications received by each user to a specific location by setting the Notification Location option on the user.
App Notifications
App Notifications can be seen in the notification button (marked with a bell icon)in the top right of the screen. This button will show the number of unseen notifications and will highlight red when there are new notifications for you to view.
Clicking this button will open the notifications list, which will show the recent notifications.
Most notifications can be clicked on to go directly to the section in the software related to that notification, or you can click the circle icon to mark the notification as seen or cross icon to delete it.
You can also click the Mark All Seen action at the top of the notifications list, which will mark all notifications as seen and reset the notification count to zero.
