Pet Manager can create a Stripe Clearing Account in Xero to track Stripe fees and the movement of funds to your bank. You can use the auto‑created account or select your own, as long as it’s a Current Asset with Enable Payments to this Account turned on. You’ll also choose a Stripe Bank Code for Stripe pay-outs and a Stripe Expense Code to record Stripe fees.

If you are utilising the Xero addon, at this point you will need to setup the account codes for syncing online payments to Xero. You can do this by going to Settings > Integrations
The navigate to Xero in the left side menu
Under Step 2, expand the section and select the button.
You’ll then see the settings shown below by clicking the Stripe banner.
Stripe Clearing Code
Pet Manager can automatically create a clearing account for Stripe transactions. This is used to record all fees associated with Stripe transactions and automatically record movement of funds from Stripe to your bank account.
Press Create Stripe Clearing Account to have Pet Manager create the Stripe Clearing Account in Xero which is of type Current Asset.
If you wish to create your own account or already have an account to use, then select it from the dropdown list or resync accounts if you just added it manually to Xero. The account must be of type Current Asset and have Enable Payments to this Account enabled.
Stripe Bank Code
This is the bank account into which Stripe deposits money. If you have clearing account setup, Pet Manager will automatically transfer funds from the clearing account to this bank account when it is notified of a transfer by Stripe.
Stripe Expense Code
This is the account which will record Stripe transaction fees.
Once you have saved your Stripe account codes, you can return to the Stripe integration settings to continue the guide.
