Adding A New Walking Service

Walking Services are required for Walking (Custom Time) bookings, where one or more pets (with the same owner) will be attending a private walking session.

To add new walking services, open the Settings menu in the top navigation and click the Courses, Sessions & Services link.

Then click Walking Services in the left side menu. The options shown here will vary depending on the area types enabled.

Then, just click the blue Add Service button at the top.

Walking Service Fields

• Name – the name of the walking service.
  • This will be shown in the custom walking forms, including customer portal.
• Description – the description of the walking service.
  • This will be shown in the custom walking and availability forms in the customer portal.
• Walking Type – the type of walking.
  • This is required for matching available staff to the service.
  • This can also be used for restricting package token allocations to the service.
• Placement Type – the placement type required by the service.
  • Placements will be automatically assigned when creating bookings.
• Time – the length of the service.
  • Booking checkout times will be based on the service length.
• Active – disable this if you no longer require this service.
  • Services cannot be deleted if they have bookings associated, so they must be made inactive instead.
• Show Portal – enable this if you wish this service to be shown in the customer portal.

Walking Service Pricing

Walking services can have multiple pricing options. When a booking cost is being calculated, the prices are checked in order and the first matching price will be used. You can reorder the prices using the icon in the top right.

• Animal Size – the animal size.
  • If this is not selected the pricing will apply to all animal sizes.
• Customer Type – the customer type.
  • If this is not selected the pricing will apply to all customer types.
• Cost – the cost of the service (for each pet).
• Tokens – the number of tokens required for the service (for each pet).
